I’m Samantha, a Virginia-based photographer specializing in refined, heirloom portraits of children, newborns, and families.

My work is rooted in simplicity and intention, with soft tones, thoughtful styling, and a focus on genuine expression. I believe the most meaningful images are the ones that feel effortless and timeless, the kind you return to year after year.

Samantha Thornhill Photography was built from a love of creating something meaningful and lasting. While photography is where I create, my background in e-commerce and marketing has shaped the way I approach my work, from thoughtful styling to a cohesive final gallery. Every detail is considered with intention.

Outside of photography, you can usually find me with my family, enjoying slow mornings, spending time near the bay, or tending to my beehives. That same appreciation for a slower, more intentional pace carries into each session.
